About Alexandra
Alexandra Tribe is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Expatriate Law, the specialist international family law firm she established with her father David Hallam-Peel in 2010. Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2004, she has practised exclusively in family law ever since, including eight years advising British expatriates in Dubai, giving her unrivalled expertise in the interaction between English law and Sharia-based family law across the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Kenya. Her practice focuses on complex international divorce and financial remedy proceedings, cross-border children matters (including child abduction and Schedule 1 claims), prenuptial agreements, and jurisdiction disputes for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth expatriate clients — including business owners, successful entrepreneurs and individuals from international ruling families. Alexandra is a Resolution-accredited specialist in International Family Law and Advanced Financial Provision, sits on Resolution’s international family law committee, and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL). She is ranked Band 5 in the Chambers UK 2026 guide for Family/Matrimonial Finance: Ultra High Net Worth and is recognised as an Expert in the Chambers High Net Worth UAE guide; Expatriate Law is also ranked in The Legal 500 UK 2026 in both the Family: Divorce and Financial Remedy and Family: Children categories, with Alexandra leading both teams. She is a contributing author to the International Family Law Handbook (2025) and authored the UAE chapter of Family Law Jurisdictional Comparisons (2nd Edition, Thomson Reuters), and has been featured in Tatler’s Address Book and shortlisted for Mentor of the Year (International) at the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2026.
