Bridget Garrood

Bridget Garrood is a Consultant Solicitor & Collaborative Family Lawyer at The Family Law Company, having originally trained with the firm in 1992 and been admitted as a solicitor in 1994. She specialises in the financial consequences of family breakdown, including TOLATA claims for cohabiting couples, prenuptial agreements, and civil partnership dissolution, and has a longstanding specialism in the specific legal needs of LGBTQ+ clients, including legal parenthood, family formation, and matters under the Gender Recognition Act 2004. A member of the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners and a Resolution member since 1992, she brings a trauma-informed approach to all family law matters.
