Claire Filer

Claire Filer is a Partner and mediator in the family law team at Irwin Mitchell, serving as Regional Lead Partner for the Thames Valley from the London and Reading offices. Qualifying as a solicitor in 2004 and practising exclusively in family law since 2009, she advises on divorce, civil partnership dissolution, cohabitation disputes, financial remedy proceedings, and private children law, with a growing specialism in pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements protecting gifted and inherited assets. She holds the STEP Diploma, bringing particular depth to cases involving complex business structures and trusts, and is recognised as a Leading Individual by the Legal 500 and ranked Band 5 by Chambers & Partners.
