Emel Kerwood

Emel Kerwood is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Family team at Thompson Smith and Puxon, joining the Colchester office in April 2026 with extensive experience in divorce, financial matters and children arrangements. She also assists clients in cohabitation disputes and advises those dealing with difficult domestic abuse situations, providing both a professional and empathetic approach centred on clients’ needs and goals. Emel is a member of Resolution and serves on the Essex YRes Committee, supporting and developing junior family law professionals in the region.
