Robert Williams is Senior Partner at Hutchinson Thomas and head of the family matrimonial department, having qualified in 1972 and become a Partner at the predecessor firm R B Hutchinson Morris & Harrett (now Hutchinson Thomas) in 1980. He attended Neath Grammar School and Manchester University (LLB), followed by the College of Law in Guildford. He has been recommended as a first class divorce lawyer in the Legal 500 for many years and is particularly skilled at handling ancillary relief cases, frequently undertaking his own advocacy. Robert now concentrates on private divorce work, specialising in high-value cases. Beyond law, he served as Chairman of Neath Athletic RFC for 20 years and was a highly respected international rugby judicial officer, chairing major disciplinary cases including the infamous ‘Bloodgate’ case.
